Austin is known for being both lively and laid-back at the same time, and while the city holds plenty of places that perfectly illustrate such balance, Rainey Street might be one of the most well-known. For a mortgage lending industry client who recently asked us to capture that blend of fun and relaxation for their conference’s closing event at a variety of venues, we orchestrated a multi-space buyout of some of Rainey’s most popular haunts. Welcoming 350 people into a quartet of hotspots — Bangers, Lucille’s, Half Step and Icenhauer’s — we transformed the block into their own personal playground. It was, indeed, a Rainey Street takeover to remember.
We offered a jazz club vibe with live expert cigar-rolling at one stop, a country bar complete with mechanical bull and Wild West stilt-walkers at another, gastronomical delights like oyster shucking and a pig on a spit at a third venue, and a chilled-out lounge stocked with cheese and desserts to cap off the romp. Filling the evening with live sets from local musicians, local food and lots of thoughtful planning to make it the most memorable night ever, we thrilled 350 guests with a pleasure-filled evening in an authentic Austin atmosphere.
